Supporting Cancer Patient and their families (emotional psychological and social)

Our role is to support families and carers, especially those that are terminally ill. We recognize the burden and economic impact for families who do not understand how best to deal with the illness. We will collaborate with professionals who will examine the psychosocial and occupational impact of looking after a sick person who is terminally ill within the family. Weekly supportive meetings will be held to look at the issues experienced by family, friends and identify coping mechanisms to build on self esteem of the patients.

CSL will offer free and confidential counseling to all patients, their relatives and friends. We will work with trained psychologists and cancer survivors who have received training to provide counseling and support to people affected by cancer. We will also offer ongoing support through follow up phone calls and home visits.
